Rural Humane exists to strengthen animal welfare organizations in rural and remote communities across the United States. We believe that rural organizations — shelters, rescues, animal control agencies, and advocates — deserve the same access to resources, connections, and support as their urban counterparts.
What We Do
We connect rural organizations to funding opportunities and tools designed with rural realities in mind. We bridge the gap between rural animal welfare and national partners, funders, and support organizations. We create space for peer learning and shared experience. And we center rural voices — because rural communities know their needs best.
Our Goal
Our goal is to strengthen rural animal welfare by increasing access to resources, reducing isolation, and building a supportive network where organizations can learn from one another and grow more resilient together.
